
Osppa Yacu Tayta currently consists of 18 members. The Board consists of a President, who is elected annually, a Vice-President, a Treasurer, a Secretary, and an Attorney. Since Osppa Yacu Tayta is legally registered as an Organization in the Public Registry, it can also work with the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve Central Office, in planning and organizing its activities, which include the protection of hydro-biological resources.
The organization’s internal regulations provide that the income derived from fishing be equally distributed among its members, with a certain percentage dispersed to the general community.
